Temporary Working from Home Agreement (Flexible Working) This temporary arrangement constitutes a temporary adjustment to your contract / terms and conditions of employment. Please note that this agreement is valid from the date of approval until 31 December and must therefore be renewed in January each year. The terms and conditions of employment between the employer and employee apply at the employee’s place of work and at the home-based work site 1. Implementation the agreement (a) The agreement allows home working as specified on their flexible working request which applies from 1 January 2025. (b) The purpose of working at home will be to allow an agreed proportion of your contracted number of working hours to be completed in a flexible way for the successful completion of your day to day work according to your job description 2. Equipment (a) You will be given remote access to the server by the ICT department for the duration of this agreement. All work completed must be via the secure ‘remote desktop’. Your access to the remote server will be reviewed upon completion of this temporary arrangement. (b) Any equipment that is made available to you for the purpose of working from home and must be returned in the same condition as it was provided. Any equipment provided must be returned as soon as possible after this agreement ends. (c) Any minor costs of phone calls or printing undertaken at home will be covered by the employer, however any work undertaken on a larger scale should be undertaken at your usual place of employment i.e. your work office address 3. Conditions of employment and variations in the conditions of employment (a) The terms and conditions of the employment between the employee and the employer that apply at the employee’s usual place of employment also apply at the home-based work site. 4. Hours of work/overtime (a) Overtime or TOIL cannot be accrued while working at home. 5. Communication (a) The employee agrees to be contactable during the periods in which home-based work is carried out and available for communication with the employer. 7. Termination of the home-based work arrangement (a) The agreement may be terminated by either party prior to expiry, provided that the party wishing to terminate gives reasonable notice.
